Food much better; pace is poor August 27, 2008 Reviewer: Cisco
I dined again this August at Summer House for the first time in a few years, and found that the food is much improved with the new chef. The ambiance remains top-drawer, and the service is very efficient (they work in teams). The corn bisque with lobster and bacon is an outstanding appetizer. The only negative is the pacing. I was served a cocktail, and three subsequent courses in 45 minutes flat. No time to relax at all and to enjoy the surroundings (and no excuse for this). I'd hoped to hear the piano player, but I was out the door before s/he ever began. It's sad, because based on that one deficiency, I would not go back.
