Do NOT eat at the bar August 27, 2008 Reviewer: Cisco
I had the misfortune of eating at the bar at Chanticleer this August. The bartender had zero experience in serving food. I had to ask for: bread, silverware (twice), more wine, more water, etc. I was the only person at the bar (it was early), and he had almost no restaurant customers at that time; still, he did not engage me in the slightest in conversation. Although the food itself was really good, I left feeling cheated out of a better experience. I usually eat at Chanticleer twice a summer; however, I will not go back anytime soon. It was not a $150 (per person) experience, in any regard. If they are going to serve food at the bar, they need to have someone who knows what s/he is doing.
