Well, I am NOT a sushi lover but I do love to go to Sushi By Yoshi for their teriyaki chicken. It comes with a side of jasmine rice and veggies. It is very very good but I do agree that it is too pricey. Another thing on the menu that I enjoy is their green tea ice cream!

Sushi by Yoshi has been on Nantucket Island for quite sometime, considering the high turnover rate of businesses on the island. Their identity has always remained true, producing some of the freshest sushi I've ever had, and certainly the best value for sushi on Nantucket. There is only one other restaurant hosting legitimate competition to Sushi by Yoshi, yet Yoshi's has prevailed in my book as providing the most consistent dishes. The small dining room usually has a long wait on any given night in the summer, for good reason. Try and grab a seat at their "sushi bar". Not the best for large groups, but great for both takeout and off-peak hours dining. They've had the same group of people working there for years and years, which is nice to be able to always go back and see a familiar face. Sometimes it's easy for their waitress to get bogged down in their busy dining room, so that can be a little frustrating. It's all Japanese-inspired cuisine with more than just sushi, but not really kid friendly (no alternative children's menu). However, their dishes have a consistent presentation with a wide variety of dishes, from soups and appetizers to outstanding and very fresh sushi.

I like sushi there, especially, salmon sushi, it is my favorite! You can watch how they make it. Always fresh and tasty!
