I think the food is outstanding, portiond are reasonable and prices are fitting for Nantucket fine dining. The staff is kind and friendly and Don never forgets to stop by your table just to sat thank you. We sat by the fire and enjoyed our meal along with a great bottle of wine. My menu pick is The Badly Cut Pasta...
I dined at DeMarco's for the first time this August. The first time I arrived, I was told that I could not be seated at the (empty) bar, because they "were going to be too busy in about 45 minutes in the restaurant". I left a bit befuddled, but returned a few nights later. The cannelloni (main course) had been precooked, and reheated, and was limp and over-crenched with heavy sauce. The appetizer, as well -- precooked, clearly. So, I ate nothing fresh at this Italian restaurant. The service was friendly, but not professional, and the meal was not worth the price in any regard. I've heard many other folks like this place; I'm not sure why, based on my one visit. I would not go back.
