A great place to Nantangle ... December 21, 2008

Where else can you share a Hot Butter Cup with the General Manager, scroll through the bartender's i-pod and meet truly genuinely nice people? Very special thanks to the awesome crew of Capt'n Tobey's Chowder House - Linda, Ed and Victor - for making this year's Stroll weekend extra special in our home away from home. The Dining Car nor Brotherhood of Thieves had Magner's cider but not to worry - Victor at Capt'n Tobey's kept it coming to the last drop! He's the man! He knew our choice of tipple when we walked in Sunday after spending a few hours at the bar on the Friday night. I ate chowder every day of the Stroll all around town and Capt'n Tobey's has the best - flavorful, potato hearty and loads of clams - just like chowder should be! It's a place that you can talk to everyone who walks in because they have the spirit of island - and know you are there because you feel the same way about The Grey Lady. Tell Ben the Aussie his recommendation was great and hugs to his dog, Digger. We will see you next year when we set course due North for Nantucket - don't forget the butterscotch and chocolate sauce toppings on the whipped cream for the Hot Butter Cup 2009! Cheers to the new year!
